Letter Writer Services

You have a problem.  The problem could be a simple controversy with a neighbor, or a conflict over property rights.  Your problem could be that you received a product that was not what you ordered, or expected, or you had an installation in your home that was done incorrectly.

There are several ways to approach issues, and each method used is effective for the kind of problem that exists, and the people to whom the letter is to be sent.

I use three distinct methods:

  1. Simple letter:  This letter sets forth a problem you are having, and is basically an informative, friendly letter.  Its purpose is to memorialize to the other party that you have an “issue” with a given behavior that you feel is encroaching on your right to either privacy, or general peace.  This could include someone living upstairs that plays his music too loud, or a landlord issue (an example would be not fixing a broken pipe).

  2. Demand letter:  This letter is more forceful than the “simple” letter.  It engages the reader with facts, facts, and more facts, so it is important to have accumulated some sort of “paper trail,” or receipts, notes, date(s) of incident(ces), etc.  In a demand letter, the letter is direct, succinct, and demands a time period that you deem acceptable for a resolution to your grievance(s).

  3. Small Claims matter:  After a demand letter is rendered, and you do not receive a favorable response within the time frame stated, I can prepare any documentation that you would need in order to file in Small Claims Court (Magistrates Court).  In order for a claim to be heard in Small Claims Court, there are monetary limits set, and these limits differ from county to county.  I have seen limits range from $2500 to $8000.  In order to file a claim, one needs to have the full name of the party, the address, and/or the name of the corporation/company involved.  Part of my service is to provide for you the agent for service so that your filing will be properly adjudicated.  In many counties, lawyers are not allowed in Magistrates Court, but sometimes they are allowed.  All this information will be provided to you.

Any service that I provide for you is made with the understanding that the facts given to me are representations presented to me by you, and therefore, all representations are solely your responsibility.

Any and all claims, letters, and actions, therefore, become yours and yours alone once you sign each letter and/or document, as all letters and actions are prepared for YOUR signature.  I am not a lawyer, but have this service for those claims that need to be litigated in a venue where a lawyer is NOT required (Small Claims Court).
